I see deaf people
Ok, not so happy lol, its fucking miserable in fact

vocals arent great..I remember why I do instrumentals

but at least its only 5 mins long for a change and has more than my average amount of real vegetables..I mean real instruments (normally zero) :D

next track back to electronica

bad essing huh? Ive de-essed like fuck but I think the FX just prevent it working after a while :o

You recorded all of that while you were trolling showstone?

The sssss intro reminds me of Being Boiled.
Yes the essing is a problem & yes other processors exacerbate it.
The combo of real (I think) & synth bass works really well.

Consume BE SILENT die is the way it was written on the railway underpass just outside of Sydney in the mid 70's.
Middle Eastern signils on train wheel squeals in the mail delivery service back to the suburbs after another luckless night at the dance clubs.
KC: it's not your usual trance'n'dance - def harks back to the "days" when the combo you've sketched was heading where Magazine went but with real drums. Part Wire, this is an excellent melange of early HLeague, early JDivision atmospherics and NOrder electronics without the bpm.
I really, really like it.
I'm about to press download.
Sorry the prose is so prosaic - just back from the Rubberty & a good ccounter dinner!
The voice - perfect for the song.
the lyrics - soured impported beer and curdled creme brule, a GFC in the face expectations built on a foundation of soft seduction men's magazines and the gold card on your 18th if you stamp on the face of a prol...forever.
Eric Blair would part his hair and know that the camera behind the mirror wasn't aimed at him but over his shoulder at what comes after.
Third time through and I didn't notice the essing... did you treat it with EQ, at some lows? Deeper essing?
Oh, Um, I REALLY, really like it!
Wow, I wrote a word & it was CENSORED! I didn't know we did censorship of words as innoccuous as ****.

dude im sure theres more artistry in your critiques than Ive ever put into a track

you like it?

I really like this one..I like the instruments anyway..Its like my old stuff..Ive got to do more of this crap, its so rewarding

yes real bass, real guitar...lol...Ive got to involve them more, so much better than just plonking a few keys :)

Ray "def harks back to the "days" when the combo you've sketched was heading where Magazine went but with real drums."

yes I get what you were saying

its like the old stuff I used to do..Im gonna hate the bubble being burst when someone points out that the lower mids are overpowering, the kick is the wrong sample, and my singings tone deaf...because I like this one, just for its difference..I like the buzz organ..from a JVs hip hop card, I like the guitar, a green day preset, I like the singing...the best monotone I can provide lol :D

the bass took me three days..yet its comped all over the fucking track lol...such talent..greg are ya lookin :p

thanks man

Downunder Rugby League has a special tackle called the Liverpool Kiss that is a parallel to Zidane's touch up style. The big difference being the rhinoplasty that was a guaranteed result of the Thornette Bros greeting to those not of South Western Suburban stock. It was employed as an adjunct to the similarly infamous Cumberland Fling that was a slingshot hip into thigh sort of tackle that resulted from a reverse stiff arm attack.
I'm serious. I really, REALLY dug this & look forward to playing it LOUDLY on the stereo!
& if people point to mid mud etc your response is simple: it's as genre defining as tin foil bass drum clicks in death metal!

Wow, downbeat 80s heaven kcearl! Vocals sound good to me and suit the mood of the song (remind me of Ian Curtis on tracks like Atmosphere and The Eternal). The instruments sound great, I love the gurgling synths and the choppy How Soon Is Now guitar effect and the Eastern sounding guitar solo is a real highlight.

The timing sounds a little out on the line 'did it really bother you', and I'm not sure whether I'm keen on the 'hey's during the guitar solo or not, though they do give it a bit of a kick. Hope none of this bursts your bubble, I enjoyed it a lot and it's going to be in my head all day now.

Lol @ 3 days for a bass track.

I like this one. Everything about it. I too feel like it's taken me back to an earlier version of myself. I'm back in my own personal Clockwork Orange days. Really cool how you pull that off. Good mix. I don't think the sibilance is too bad at all. My only nit is the pitchiness of the vocals in spots, but I really didn't pay attention to them anyway, so it's no big deal to me. I have no idea what the song is about.

Thanks Rob..I kinda just left the vocals as they were recorded, it makes me wince if i listen to myself too much, so a few parts are out a bit..i know the line youre talking about so Ill try repositioning some of it..thanks for the positive comments, i like the instrumentation in this purely because it not another dance track, which was starting to bore me

the heys are meh...but i was getting carried away by then :)

Brilliant G, seems like i havent mixed for ages so i was wondering if id forgotten how to

yup the bass took ages...its only like four loops and it still took ages..Im nearly as good a singer as I am a bass player lol

I think I should get a pitch correcter..im off in a few places, why would anyone write a song thats not in their key?? haha

thanks for listening and the positive comments...doesnt seem its as bad as I first thought

thanks diggity ;)

If its monotone and off tune I have it covered :D

btw I think i was a bit worse for where after an incident with tanqueray last night...some of my posts are excellent.."Ill rape your brain" struck me as being a bit reserved lol

Super KC, sounds great. Bowie has nothing on you! I say that for it reminds me a bit of the style of Cat People. You need more of these.

Nice. I like the mix of real & synth.

Singing is not bad at all; fits the song well. Sssssibs not so bad; I can sound like a lisping Brainy Smurf when I try. :)
You might just knock some of the highs off instead of de-ssssing.

I like the bass. One day, I'm going to try the loop thing. Like when I run out of dinosuar meat and leave the cave. ;)

Thanks.
