First time doing YouTube. It was a struggle fighting with WMM, I ended up buying Pinnacle HD. I have the basic editing down, still need to work on stuff.
I used a .wav file in the movie making software, but I'm sure it was converted to mp3 both by Pinnacle and YouTube. Let me know what you think.

I've always liked this song. I kind of feel it's your signature tune. Very cool. Nice to see a face behind the posts.

I'd like to see the transitions between the different clips flow more smoothly. Cross fading in audio terms (Hmm, maybe video term as well). Fade out of one clip and fade into the next over 1 or 2 second time frame, so it's not so abrupt.

I'd also like to see more movement from the camera. You've got two separate angles, which is better than one , but it would be cool to see the camera angle change and a little more dynamic to the video. Have someone hold it and move around you while taping, then mix clips of that in with the stationary shots. Also would be nice to see the M of 'G and M' playing bass. :) Maybe PI as well, though I know he's miles apart....

All in all, a good start (spoken like I'm some kind of expert. :o ) It's a lot of work just to get one 4-minute music video, isn't it??

Cool man....

For me I think the drums could come up some. The kick sounds pretty good though. Good job on the song. Very talented.

Thanks guys, it's a far cry from your video Chili. I'm still getting to know the software so it's kinda choppy. If I transition or fade clips it adds length to the video part ?? and the sync is off from the audio. After three days working on this I was happy to get this much done lol... I'm sure with time my skills will improve.

Sounds cool. If I heard that without the video I'd imagine you with a long beard and fuzzy guitar. ZZ Top Style.

Yeah, it's a big learning curve, for sure. I'm not sure about Pinnacle, but most likely, if you drag the edge of the video clip into its neighboring clip, it should automatically create a fade in/fade out transition. And yes, it will increase the length of the video clip, gotta plan for that when shooting clips. It shouldn't affect your lip syncing if you have it lined up properly. Unfortunately, I haven't had the best of luck with lip syncing.

Great video, Gerry! It's good to see you posting stuff again. I miss workin' on your stuff.

Soo... I hate to say this, but the drum track (during almost the entire song) is about 20ms too forward. The drums seem to be rushing the song along the whole time, and it gives the tune an awkward feeling. If you push them back (not volume, but timing) about 20 or so milliseconds, it should tighten the whole tune up.

I know this sucks because it's already posted to video, but I had to say it.

As far as getting video of me playing, I'd be up for it, but it'd be more editing work to get the drum video in the final cut, but man... It'd be awesome. Same with Mike... If we could get video of all three of us, that'd be sweet. (I've got a bit of experience video editing and have my own drumming video channel, so... It wouldn't be too hard for me to get ya some footage.)

I really like this song. Lots.

nice clean sound...man I wanna do one of these :)

I always imagined you were in your late teens with dreadlocks??

the song all sounds great to me....

Why do you look so stoic? Weren't you having fun? It reminded me of one of those hostage videos that you see on the news. :D
