thanks man... It will be my next project, the DMP-2 Dual Microphone Pre-amp and MXL v67.. thank you for the time man
DMP3.....and no problem at all...

If its a pretty general question ask in here but if its a specific subject jump into the forums...some pretty clued up guys in here

I can just use those three items right? the mic connected to the pre amp and then the pre amp to my laptop and then my cool edit pro right?

no you still need your audio interface to connect it to the PC

Isn't there any pre-amp that I can use from mic to pre-amp then straight to my laptop?

m audio make some pretty decent ones for a resonable price...or a mixer with a usb connection will do the trick.....

yes, tonnes, there software, freebies, ones that come with audio interfaces, mixers etc etc....you wanted to sound good didnt you ;)

you'd have to do your own research...all Ive done is made a suggestion...someone could come along in a minute and make a completely different one...its just if you are only concentrating on vocals give yourself something you wont grow out of too quickly

ayt.. thank you so much man!

no problems

hunt around and see if you can find it bundled with a DAW, the one you've linked comes with a pro tools demo but if Im not mistaken the fast track pro used to come with Ableton Live Lite...which is a pretty awesome programme...especially if you want to make beats and/or work with loops

I mean how can I sound like clear like that in general, not the autotune. It sounded like it was recorded in a real recording studio, the vocals was clear and the way it was recorded, coz i've tried to mess wit the program and I cannot come up with that sound.. thanks

Oh...I thought you wanted to hear the "chirps" :D

Hey...maybe it WAS recorded in a real studio…?
The trick is to get the clear sound during recording...not later with a program, ‘cuz it won’t work...and for that you need a quality mic, preamp, converter and a decent room/space to do it in.

The mini-closet thing someone mentioned is not necessarily a great place...though if you have to choose between a crappy sounding/echo-plagued room and dead walk-in closet...do it in the closet and add your ambience during the mix.

AFA what mic/preamp/etc to get...it's all about your budget & goals...so no point in making suggestions to you without knowing how much $$$ you plan to spend.
Personally...I wouldn't bother with USB mics and dinky USB interfaces if I was worried about quality/clarity in the recording...but I'm sure there are a few "decent" ones out there, though I honestly have never researched any of that USB stuff.

So…are you doing this just for that contest in the YouTube video…to win the hat? ;)

lol.. no man.. I'm doing this to make music, I'm doing this so I can create my own stuff.. thanks man..
