Ahh, i see thats always cool, i really want to use Pro Tools, because everyone seems to be using that, and some kids go to school just to learn that kinda stuff so yeah, but as for the mics, haha its all good man advice is advice none the less and its greatly appreciated!!
Unless you're planning on working in a studio, doing the Pro Tools Courses and exams, or buying Pro Tools HD and all of it's expensive components, I'd avoid Pro Tools if I was you. I use it, but I fall into the category of people who plan to work in a studio
Reason 1: Lack of interface options - They're very expensive, and you could get much better interfaces for the same price.
Reason 2: The RTAS engine - It's awfully unstable, it maxes out very easily, and there is many more VST plugins available on the market (for free too)
Reason 3: Pro Tools itself is known for being on "that time of the month", all of the time. It's very moody.
Reason 4: The Avid website

Silly, I know, but if you have to use the Avid website, you better boil a pot of coffee because it could take you weeks to find what you were looking for
Reason 5: A lot of limitations in Pro Tools LE/M-Powered, such as track count. You can get the full version of another DAW for the same price, if not cheaper than the stripped down (LE/M-Powered) version of Pro Tools.
I'd advise Cubase, Reaper, or Logic (Logic is mac-only).
Edit: If you want plenty of reasons why NOT to go with Pro Tools, I suggest you spend 20 minutes over at the
