What did you get for Xmas

I couldn't rely on santa /friends of family so I went right out and bought myself a Neumann TLM103 HO HO HO HO HO HO HO .....................................what did you get?
 
I got a Dgital Camcorder (digital concepts) aka Sakar 32498. Couldn't find specs or particulars on it online. Some on it's cousins the 32490/32492, but SD video doesn't do much for me. Not when I have a Sanyo FH1. 1080p60. The $60 for the cam plus 2x 2GB SD cards, that should buy an extra battery for the FH1, or Wide Angle lens.

Otherwise I got some sausage and crackers and mustard. I'm not much of a sausage fan. But these weren't half bad. The dog liked the scraps. The mustard is good. Stone ground and got those whole seeds in it. Different and kind of spicey. I normally eat my sandwiches dry, but I'll gladly spread this stuff on those sandwiches. Not that there's that much. Enough to spread on slices of sausage on crackers. But on a loaf of bread, it doesn't go far. I got a loaf of nut bread, also gone now. $20 from Dad, $100 from Brother. I guess I can't blame dad, he lost more in the past year on the stock market than I've gained on the job market in the past TWO years.

A couple DVDs. One unitentional BluRay disc. (no bluray player). But my birthday is also in December. I got a 1080p HDTV last year. Bought an HDMI capable graphics card shortly there after. Plus $100 20' HDMI cable. New tech is great.... Paying for it, not so much.... I also got a Miley Cirus CD. Can't win them all. But I think that I'm stocked up enough on knives and bullets for the comming year. Yeah depression. Not that the rabbits and coyotes know the difference.

In terms of things I could use... Another 1TB HDD sata drive. Another battery for my FH1, and wide angle lens for the FH1. Or just an HD2000. Some blank DVDs (TDK / DVD-R 4.7GB). I'm pretty stocked up on CD-Rs. Although 650MB CDs are kind of hard to come by (the only kind my ancient walkman CD player likes) (outside of mini-CDs anyway). Otherwise I'm stocked up on pretty much everything I need (till the new years). I could always use more beer. But most of my recording gear is within tollerances.
 
I can honestly say that I got nothing related to recording for Christmas this year. Saving my money to buy a Neumann U87 and either an M269 or U67. :D

So you'll have enough to purchase them by new years? Or is this going to be a 2010 tax write off?
 
I got 10 years of wedded bliss. Elvis helped us renew our vows.

Needless to say, the mics I got all up and running before heading off to Vegas were:

2 Soundelux e47's
2 Soundelux e49's
1 Ela M 251 with Tim Campbell CT-12 transducer
1 M49 with Thiersch M7

Plus some other mics I upgraded for my collecion.
 
At a boy Philgood Vegas huh. Any good shows out there this time around?

That's a cool list of mics up and running before the end of the year.Where they yours and not working or did you just get them?
 
As far as recording equipment goes, I got a Han-D- Mag tape head demagnetizer, Demo pair of studio isolation headphones, and a 20db attenuator pad for making a subkick for my drums. Awesome stuff.
 
A cascade Fathead. My first Ribbon mic. I've done a ton of tests with it already and its a pretty crazy mic, definitely gonna make a difference in my recordings from now on.

Got wifey a new car cd/radio to replace the simi-dead factory pos. Main cool feature for her is an i-pod input. (But... I found it also can play wav's from a thumb drive-- no more 'burn cd to check in the car! way! (wink wink nod nod say no more

yup the fat heads are cool are they stock or up grade mod?
 
Got a new air compressor for my jeep and bike, some new aux lights for reverse, and more socks than Ill ever need

I'd love to have one ......... ah well. Glad someone I know has one.

For Christmas, I got a couple of new instruments. So now I'm here to ask you guys how to spend my Christmas money on recording equipment! :)
