Hi All,

I finally got it all together!! I built some panels! Yippy!!! My space sounds so much better. I had an issue finding inexpensive fabric, but i found something that was not too tightly wooven. Vocals sound so much better... even without the use of the SE Electronics filter. I've been experimenting with recording various positions in the room. I'm thinking I need one more on the right side wall...there's a wall space that's close to the right speaker. Only thing i hate is that i don't have enough room 11X11 is small... can't fit a small sofa for people to sit down. I'm also needing to build some bass traps...to kill some of the boom from those KRK 5's...

So I've been meaning to post my "studio" here for going on 4 years now...I figure better late than never right? It's pretty humble but I can't complain. And don't make fun of me for the foam on the walls I was young and stupid and naive when I glued that sh*t up, been slowly taking it down for years... Without further ado...

A look in through the door. Not much room in here...

I see you have a Behringer V-Verb, which is only the BEST reverb out there for $99! I love mine. Can I make fun of you for the two boat-anchor CRT monitors? :D

I have yet to actually apply it to a mix but I have been impressed by the sounds I've gotten just messing around with it. I noticed the only knock on them was their tendency to spontaneously die, so when I found a guy on ebay selling two new in box 2496's for 100 bucks, I jumped all over it. So now I've got a replacement waiting in the wings if this unit should decide to kick the bucket.

Proceed.

That's exactly what I did. Smart man.

I'll let you off the hook on the CRT monitors since I had a couple up til a few years ago myself.

This is HomeRecording.com not Gearslutz
Yea, and this is the studio BUILDING forum, of which I didn't see any "building" Otherwise,he might have just posted it in a gear forum. Of course, when you're trying to impress the teen guitarhero fans of the whole world with ?windblowin in your hair guitar riffs" that do nothing but make you look like an idiot at the begining of your studio "tour"....well  phuleeeese..spare me.

when you grow up what do you want to be?

I seriously need to update these pics...I don't own any rack gear anymore, I now use a laptop, bought a new interface, a new Fantom G6 keyboard....but this'll give you the gist of it. I took a coat closet in my upstairs game room and built it out into the attic to give me a small nook to record in. I also have 900 sq ft of gameroom to use, plus 2 bedrooms upstairs to convert as soon as I kick, I mean, as soon as my boys graduate and move.:D

What gives? No pics for me...maybe it's my firewall blocking photobucket. I'll have to check again tonight.
