Hello,

I play keyboard, and decided a few weeks ago that I wanted to learn guitar also. I read music, and can play by chord sheets also, so I decided it probably wouldn't be too hard to pick up, at least just to mess around with, and have fun. But I want to improve well enough to play with the band, and not be only on keys. :)

I just got a DeArmond M65C at a yard sale for 60 bucks. It seems like a decent enough beginner guitar, which is all I need for now. Good deal, or did I get ripped off? It seems to have a nice sound to it.

That's the les paul copy?

these can go for $200-250 used in good nick so if its all working correctly then you've got a nice lil' guitar to learn on..

I learned on keyboards first and now play all my guitar parts...haven't really progressed past rhythm but its a great instrument..I cant understand those that resort to vst's like realstrat etc..I'm starting learning bass now, really rewarding

rock on sugarmama ;)

hi i just learned with anything that was laying around, i was fortunate because my dad played guitar and had 5 brothers who also played guitar so there was always guitar around. i grew up sleeping with my head between blaring amps, now i know why i'm a spaceass

the first one i got on my own was from a garage sale for i think $10 and it was a gypsy guitar lol, it was reddish pink with flowers and had some furball fuzfluff ball on top ha ha

then sort of eventually moved up, sort of

anything works really, good luck and nice to meet you:)

That guitar should be fine.

You would do yourself a favor if you took it to a tech to make sure it is setup properly. It will be worth every penny.

Make sure you have fun.

Good luck and welcome to the board.
