thanks....when sitting in my mix position, that corner is to my right, behind my desk. The corner to the left has a closet door in the same position, so Im going to have to build another for that door...I just wanted to get one working first...
 
here is a quick drawing of my space....

the dark black lines are traps hanging on the walls...

the red lines are traps that are in wall/ceiling corners.

there is also a 2 X 4 trap hanging over my head but its not in the drawing....

squeeky door issue

if you got any spray cooking oil just spray it on the hinges from both sides of the door. move it a couple times. everything should be A ok!
 
okay...that's friggin' cool....and needs to be put in the Studio Building/Display section too so those people can see it!!!

I'm loving this, it is a really clever and well executed idea!
But is there a chance the corner of the trap will bed into and damage the door if you open it too quickly? I would be slightly worried about that.

For the hinges, a drop of oil or some spray lubricant should do the trick. If you want to do a really good job of it you can take the door off to lubricate the inside of the hinges but it is maybe unnecessary.

The pivot point where it is attached to the door is slotted. Its the same type of bold that is in the track attached to the wall so it cant fall through the slotted hole....but the slot lets it push forward if the corner hits the door when opened too fast....

its been taken care of.....I never even noticed it in the room until I heard it on the video..
