MIDI Cables Not Long Enough

I have two 10Ft midi cables that are not long enough to reach where I need to go. Could I use a Korg O1Wfd keyboard in the middle to hook them together?

I'm thinking from electric drum module midi out to korg midi thru, then korg midi out to firepod midi in.

I wanted to record drums with my band tomorrow evening and won't have time between now and then to pick anything up that might do a better job.

I'm not too concerned about latency as I can line up the midi track later and we will be listening to his live output as we record.

Thanks
Big Tom

Drum midi-out to Korg midi-in/ then Korg mid-thru to Firepod midi-in.

out > in > thru > in

Drum midi-out to Korg midi-in/ then Korg mid-thru to Firepod midi-in.

out > in > thru > in

Thanks, I'll give that a try tomorrow.
I'm not going to have alot of time to set up tomorrow or I would have just tried different ways till I figured it out.

Thanks again

there are also midi repeaters out there for going long lengths

Sam Ash Music has a MIDI extension, on clearance RIGHT NOW.
