Electric Guitar into iPad via Interface, How to Use iPad as Speaker?

Short story, I run my instrumentals via my iPad and run a 3.55mm from the headphone jack in the iPad, to two dual 1/4" stereo plugs that go into my mixer. Now I want to have my electric guitar go thru my iPad for looping and playing purposes. When I run my guitar into a midi interface that's hooked up to my iPad via the the USB lightning adapter, it's fine for recording and listening to via the headphone jack in the midi interface, but I'm trying to figure out how to have the sound run through the iPad itself/out the iPad speaker itself (which could then be sent via headphone to 1/4 in as I mentioned earlier).

I've figured it out, and actually it's something I essentially tried a little earlier and for some reason it wasn't working, but it's pretty simple: since the midi interface takes over once plugged into the iPad, I plug my 3.55mm chord into the headphone jack of the midi interface, and the dual 1/4 in stereo plugs go into two line ins in the mixer as usual.
