Generally, yes it does unless it is phony "audiophile" stuff like $10,000 cables.
High price = High end is --- misleading to some extent.
High price = less excuses. You don't need to spend a bundle to get a chain that's capable of producing a good recording (notice I said *capable* of, as no chain just "makes great recordings" on its own). But a high-price/high-end chain can certainly remove a lot of road-blocks in that endeavor...

In my own experience there is a simpler way to find what is high end. More weight + less knobs = sounds good.![]()
