A bit of help for a newbie if you don't mind. I want to run Reaper on my PC and just want to check that it is up to scratch. Mainly I do home recorded band demos using a drum machine, DI bass and live guitar tracks.
My PC is speced at:
2.6 GB Intel processor
1.5 GB RAM
80 GB hard drive
Creative SB Live soundcard.
Goes without saying, any help is much appreciated.
Cheers,
Mike.

Mike -

you've got more CPU under the hood than I do, and Reaper runs excellent for me. (I just suffer when I load reverb plug-ins, but that's nothing to do with Reaper)

I am running :

1.8 GHz Athlon
1.5 GB RAM
Creative Audigy Sound
x2 160 Gb hard-drives (but that's just for extra space)

Let er' Rip Mike. As long as your computer is virus-free and well maintained, your going to have a blast with Reaper!

And check out Pipeline's video tutorials. I'll post a link asap, unless pipeline has the link handy ...... ?

No problems that I can see, I'm running a 2.2 with a gig of memory, I've only tried up to eight simultaneous ins, but it ran without a hitch. I don't even have the patience to try to find out how many playbacks it will do before a hiccup...

I'm assuming your drive is 7200 rpm... you'll be just fine.
