You're right! when I first started using my monitors, I was having that problem
but then I got used to them and now everything I mix on them sounds good
on any system, but is like you said, I need bass treatment and thats exactly what Im going to do next.

Thank you for your feedback is nice to talk to
people who knows about recording and studio building.
Well there are a lot of people on this site much more knowledgable than myself. Hope you enjoy it here.

Heck yes, Reelperson! *That's* what I call home recording. And I'm not even being sarcastic. Where can I hear what you put together with that old school setup?

I always think that limitations in gear breed creativity....

Lennon, man...

What a freak. That song is so bitter. I've never read up on what happened between those two. Must have been huge. I have a shot of him and McCartney composing together where you can just see the love and crative intensity.

That song is just about the perfect one to cover using that gear. Props, dude. And another Heck yeah. You've got me thinking that casiotone is the new mellotron.

I once heard a band cover the entire white album end to end one Halloween night. you woulda loved it.

Also, is that an Ibanez Musician...? :D

edit... and are those *all* CD changers on those shelves !?!?!?!?:eek::eek:

Heck yeah!!! Bitter!!!

You know it!

The bass pictured is an Ibanez GSR-200. The guitar featured is a Squier Bullet,... the best $89 a guitar can buy!:eek:;)

Yes, those are 4-stacked 300 CD changers. The 5th one is in the back room!

The Casiotone 101, man! All that is new, is old again!:eek:

Speaking of old school tunes off old school eqiupment,...
I threw this one up today!

Well,... not literally!:eek::eek::eek:;)

very nice work, brax. Yer wife'll be mad you posted her in her pj's... ;)

What are you planning on recording in there? Let us know how the soundproofing turns out. How much was it to do the whole room?

Braxton, so far so good. Looks like a big enough room for sure.

Well here are some updated pictures from the lab, just added a KRK 10 inch sub and a MSR controller for my Firestudio interface.

Enjoy,

P.S. dont make fun of my pink studio.....  :D

Been a while, so I thought I'd post some shots of The Rabbit Hole...

20x30 basement with 7.5 ceilings and a gas furnace plopped smack dab in the middle...

A bit of a mess cause we're recording our CD but you'll get the idea...

i'm looking forward to getting some more space to record myself. our apartment has gotten a little too crowded for comforatble recording, but we're looking to move to a larger place soon
