I really dig the fast honky tonk groove right before 2min. That was unexpected (and awesome).
Fuckin great job.:)

Since you are in the mood for Surf music...can you do a cover of Pipeline by the Ventures...? I love that song!!!

Very cool,Greg,
I grew up listening to this genre, still love it.
Los Straightjackets rule!

Keep it up, this type of stuff never bores me.

I just realized...I didn't say anything about Hammerhead..I got so excited about the Ventures tune:p

I love your tune Greg...makes me wanna swim with sharks...

Greg, your amazing multi-talents, as with many here on the board...along with good mixing skills...just reaffirms to me, over and over(as I get to listen again)...why, I get most of my listening pleasures here in the forum....now if I could just apply what I learn from you guys.

Yous guys should be making a fortune, doing what you obviously love, with such obvious excellence in talent.

If I were a decent musician, I would stalk ya'll, till you put together a band with me....:D

If I were a producer...ya'll would be nailed in a heartbeat....:cool::cool::cool::cool:

Rock on doods!!

Thanks a lot true. :)

I truly enjoy playing a recording music, so I'm happy doing it for free. But, I'll take cash if you're offering. :p

In related news, I caught a Hammerhead today while kayak fishing. First one I've caught in a long time. He was a little guy - about 3 feet - but he put up quite a fight. Nice choppers too. Like freaking razors. He was safely unhooked and released unharmed to grow and fight another day. :)

How'd I miss this? I'm not in the studio, but its sounds really cool on the laptop. Don't laugh... the laptop has harman/kardon speakers and as far as laptops go it rocks hard. I thought the song was cool. Never did I hear a riff that made me think of another song except for the begining part that is in every surf song ever. you know the one not thing.

Very cool Greg. Very authentic sounding.

Hey did you see the new kiss dvd set coming out tuesday? It comes with the phantom of the park dvd. Now that was some acting and writing there;)

F.S.

Great song and mix. Really nice drums and gtr work.

So you fish for sharks from a kayak? That's pretty damn good. Kind of like bear hunting with a knife, heh.

Cool! I tried to do the Twist to this and it works! Terrify sight, though!

Thanks a lot F.S. :)

Yeah I did see the KISS DVD. That movie was hilarious. I used to have it on VHS years ago, but I lent it to someone and never got it back. I'll be buying this DVD. ;)

Thanks man. :)

Yeah shark fishing from the kayak is something else. These aren't typical "whitewater" kayaks in which you sit inside. These are sit-on-top fishing kayaks. Almost like a canoe, but not really. More like a canoe shaped pontoon, sort of. Anyway, yesterday the Gulf was very flat - like a swimming pool - so I paddled about 2 or 3 miles offshore to a rig that I've always wanted to fish by. I normally don't go out that far, but the Gulf was the nicest I've seen it in a long time. We typically catch our sharks about 1/2 to a mile offshore. They most definitely take you for a ride in the kayak when you hook into a big one. I caught a lot of keeper Speckled Trout on my bait rod and that Hammerhead on my shark rod. It was hot as hell out there so I didn't stay long and paddled back.

Cool! I tried to do the Twist to this and it works! Terrify sight, though!
Haha, Thanks man. :)

As far as I know, sharks aren't family oriented. As soon as they're born they're on their own. Mama doesn't stick around to protect and nurture them. I actually got to watch a little tiny shark pup gnaw at a whole live mullet I dropped just below the surface just to tease him. The mullet was twice his size, yet the little shark showed no fear in getting after it. Some species do hunt in packs, although I think most sharks are pretty solitary. You may find quite a few different types of sharks in one area, but it's not because they choose to live that way. They just go where the food is. This again is as far as I can tell. I'm no expert. These are just things I've kinda figured out by fishing for them so much. They also aren't man-killers. If you swim with bloody steak in your pocket, there's a chance you'll get bit. If a shark does bite a human, it's 99% of the time an "exploratory" bite. And an overwhelming majority of shark bites are very minor injuries. Sharks very rarely, if ever, hunt humans to eat. Humans simply aren't a part of their daily diet. Swim next to a seal and the seal will get eaten before you do every single time. More people are stung by jellyfish and stingrays than bitten by sharks, yet sharks are easily the most feared. Just don't act like bait and you'll probably never even see a shark in the surf.................until he's ripping your leg off. :)
