I just received my MXL V63M the other day, and I was wondering if it would damage the mic if miked guitar cabs with it?

I'm looking for new tom mics, and I heard that SM57's work awesome on toms, but I've also heard that Sennheiser e604's are the way to go. What are your opinions? Thanks! Steve.

Okay so I'm using Cubase LE, and I just installed Drumagog onto my computer, but it's not showing up in the insert menu. I've searched everywhere, how do I get drumagog to appear as a plug-in in Cubase? Thanks! -Steve

well right now I'm using some CAD TM 211's but i was thinkin about gettin some Sennheiser e604's. I use Logic 8 Express software, i record through a PreSonus Firepod. I use a Sonar kit with Evans heads on em. Hope that helps, thanks!

So i was recording something today, and it recorded it off. Like, whenever I record anything, it'll record it .5ish seconds off time. Is this common? What can I do to fix it? I use Logic 8 with an iMac computer and a Presonus Firepod. Thanks! -Steve.

I don't like using mixers anymore because if you get a mic preamp with enough inputs you can just use the computer mixer and mix everything on there track by track. I use the PreSonus Firepod. It's great. 8 mic inputs that can all connect to almost any software (except pro tools, I use logic)...

This may sound a tad stupid, but keep in mind that I'm fairly new to this. With all the built in plug-ins in todays software including compression, EQ, reverb, tuners, etc, is it necessary to get external signal processors, or is it just a personal preference? Thanks! -Steve
