I've had this mic for almost two years now, and I'm still loving it. But is it just me or are the high's extremely sensitive? I have to de-ess almost every vocal recording we do. Also, do you guys recommend de-essing before compression, or de-essing the compressed wave?

I searched the forum up and down and couldn't find anything related to this problem. Sometimes, after I record a file on Cool Edit, it becomes suddenly unplayable. If I knew how to reproduce the problem, I'd know what's causing it... but it's a mystery to me. If I open the wav file in winamp...
