BDGR, I think you need some more wires hanging around all over the place then you'll really be ready to record.

By the way, what mic and pre amps do you use to capture the low end on the bike?

Well, the side of the desk you is not the side with thei mixer on it, so you only see some of the wires. The two going to the ceiling are the two PZM's I have screwed up there. They catch the bike quite nicely, then I put one ecm8000 at the Base of the cylinders, pointed in towards the throat of the carb, and then another just over the drivers shoulder...two drumsticks length from the center of the Speedometer. Then my atm pro25 right at the back of the muffler. I have to rinse the soot out of after each sesion, but it captures the exhaust note well. . The other end of the desk, wich you cant see, really has some wires coing out of it. I was standing in the middle of the room when I took that, theres plenty more space/junk behind me.
But Im gradually cleaning up.

Never mind the bike, did you see the keyboard nailed to the wall? That is cool, no cables attached, how the hell does he record the thing?

A wife is essential, I've been looking for a tube one of those for years, as I hate the solid state things.

A bunch of ho's - can anybody enlighten me (sorry, I'm not American), if it'll improve my sound, then I'm for it!!

Regards,

John

You dont really want a tube wife, you hafta re-bias the things after every period, and the new solid state ones have improved greatly. Still cant find the volume knob though

Smokes, lots of smokes. Preferably Camels. A picture of the wife or girlfriend (or both) and kids - so you don't forget what what they look like.

Hey bdgr,

Just look for the switch marked "mute"

Ive looked all over every inch of it(believe me), and I aint never found a mute switch. Its a 1971 hippie chick model, of norweigan manufacture. Cant find a mute switch anywhere. Anybody out there got a manual fer the thing? Mine didnt come with one, and Ive checked online.

Sorry bdgr but I've only got the German manual,

If it is a Norwegian model then you shouldn't be looking for the mute switch, try finding the switch marked "el orgasmo", I think you have to press it a couple of times, but in the end it should be be muted.
If it cuts back in, try pressing the switch a couple times more.

If that doesn't work, then I'm sorry but you need a major re-bias job (I think all pre 1976 models are tubes only).

Hope I have been of some help.

Regards,

John

Watch out, you guys...

If you press that el orgasmo button without taking the proper precautions, your wife-unit will malfunction, manifest by an unsightly swelling in the abdominal region, followed by the arrival of a compact sized, high decible 2003 model which will really require frequent and costly maintance!
