Ibanez RG570. It's pretty customized. It's got a stained finish, white pickguard, the input is on top, and it's got a new neck. I just put some Grover locking tuners on it so I don't have to use that locking nut.

It works. I'm probably going to put some new pickups in it in the future.

Recently bought a Washnburn Millennium acoustic. They only made 300 in 2000. Plays like a dream but it looks like liberace designed it with all the damn abilone and gold hardware.

ebony Epiphone Les Paul Standard with a complete Gibson hardware swap (everything except the wood!)

Not fancy, but I'm proud of it. Bought it myself with a teenager's budget and after customizing, it still cost less than a Gibson.

Ibanez ltd. ed. S series 7420 7 string. They make the only guitars that I really like playing (flame away, vintage hounds!) and I keep going back to them. Obviously, I'll have to include a link to this post when I attempt to hit them up for an endorsement deal at some point. They seem to have downgraded their pickups over the years, though...

Won't hear me flamin' ya...I agree the 570's are a nice guitar. I've heard some say that they were strictly a shredder axe. But over the years, I've picked up a few and modded them. If you use light strings, I find that you really have to play with a light touch or you'll play out of tune. The stock pups in them are sort of hot and brash sounding (the V7 and V8 hummers). Change them out and you've got a nice, super smooth playing guitar.

For what it's worth (another invitation for flaming I guess), the RG320's are a nice and cheap platform for guitar modders as well. The Wiz II neck is a lot of fun to play on too. They're cheap and you can throw you're own "custom" hardware at it without breaking the bank.

1985 Martin D-45 L-Custom. Lefty. Serial # 456222. Mike Longworth told me about 1990 or so you could count the lefty 45's on one hand and have digits left over.

Its a hard choice..but my 04 R7,it just sounds better than the rest.

Ibanez Artstar AS-120. Before they started making the Artcores in China, they made Artstars in Korea. It was a $1500 guitar when it hit the market, so it is a pretty high quality Ibanez. ES-335 copy, translucent red finish, gold hardware, Super 58 pups. Awesome guitar. It has relegated my Mex Strat and Epi Wildkat to dust collectors.

Hard Choices

That's a really hard thought because all my guitars are "the best" for different things.

But if we're just talking acoustic 6-string, Blueridge BR-283
http://www.elderly.com/new_instruments/items/BR283.htm

You know the kind of guitar that sends colors flying around the room and feels so good you can't stop playing it? That's her.

I'm not much of a fan of abalone, mother of pearl or even gold, so the Blueridge is a little too beautiful to look at for my taste. BUT it sounds incredible and is a dream to play.

Acoustic = Goodall Royal Hawaiian for now. I have a Sheppard in the works with ziricote and Englemann but this won't be done until February of next year.

Electric = PRS SC Trem Artist Package for tone. Nice flames too.
= PRS Cu 24 Artist Package for looks - not an inferior sound at all but great quilts.

A 2005 First Act strat copy with original strings! Beat that you slackers!

All two of my guitars suck!

$50 acoustic that is worth about $10 by now.
Fender Lead II that sounds okay for what it is.

At least I can make my crap sound like a fresh turd. :D

For sheer versatility, my Carvin SH225S is #1. But who could live with only one guitar? My Martin DC16GTE is the favorite acoustic. But who could live with only two guitars? Everyone has to have at least one Strat, don't they? I like my new American Deluxe with a soft "V" neck, the S-1 switch and the SCN pickups. But who could live with only three guitars? :D My Heritage H575 is an awesome jazz box. But who could live with only four guitars? ;)

My Maton Messiah

Apart from being a brilliant sounding nad beautiful acoustic, it has the best name ever...
