The software you have is all great. Try them out, and see which one YOU like.

The MX802 mixer is a good beginning. It gives you four microphone preamps for recording, phantom power, four mono and two stereo line inserts, semi-useable EQ, and a headphone jack in case you don't have a monitoring system yet. You will run its L/R Main Outs into into your soundcard's Line In, and you will run your soundcard's Line Out into one of the mixer's stereo Line Inserts. Make sure you get a good soundcard.

Beware of moisture in your basement, it will shorten the life of all your hardware. Are you new to recording or just recording on a PC? What r u recording? How did you end up with all this software?

My Stepfather inlaw use to have a lil studio in the basement here we have one of those moisterizing things so i hope that will work it is a enclosed room with a closet that i will make the vocal room.I work at a restaurant so i got some egg cartons for sound proffing for that room.I recorded on the computer in my living room with Recordlab's Internet tape deck. Then i use Sound forge to get rid of the noise and add some reverb.I have only been messing with that for almost a year now.I dont have enough space on my hardrive to use the cubase or anything else but the internet tape deck.So my experience is very little.I am into metal music so good production is not a must in my genre of metal.I got a cdr from a friend of mine that has a bunch of these recording software's and a few sound editing things.Cakewalk sonar XL i Downloaded from someone(not sure if i can mention that)
Thanks for your reply's and i will look into getting the mixer if i really need it.
