I am a newbie so go easy on me!
I have a 5 yr old Yamaha MT50. I am knowledgable in its use.
And I love its simplicity and decnt sound. I am sick of tape.
I have an 8 yr old daughter with brain cancer so funds for upgraded equipment do not exist. I would like to know if anybody has any info or suggestions on how to attach a CDRW external drive bypassing the tape? Any particular drive?
Ok, if the tape cant be bypassed, how about going from tape to an external cdrw? I cant afford a new unit with CD or to purchase
a CD recorder and just go out put to input. Yes I am looking for the cheapest way out, am I wasting my time and or dollars on external CDRW? Should i just forget it and hook up outputs to my computer inputs and CDRW? Told you it was stupid questions.
All I want to do is make some CD's for myself and family members.
The important CD i want to make now is do a song to be played at my other daughters wedding in Sept.
Should i just record a tape and take it to a studio and have them burn a CD? What would that run me?
Thanks for the help

The simplist (and cheapest)way to achieve your solution is to record into the computer.

Then burn the song from the computer.

Although, you will need some software for recording, mixing, and editing.

Checkout some freeware/shareware from:
