Yamaha Mixer Question

Picked up a used Yamaha MM1402 Mixer( without the manual ) of course. Right above each fader is a small button marked "PFL".
Can anyone tell me what this button is/does? Thanks alot.

I'm gonna guess that it's Pre Fader something.

Might be "Post Fader" something too, but if it's at the top it's prolly "Pre" not "Post".

Did a little Google search and dug this up:

Channel Faders, Pre-fader Listen, and Channel On Switches
Smooth, noise-free 100-mm linear faders make it easy to set up the optimum balance between channels, while PFL (Pre-Fader Listen) switches allow convenient solo monitoring of a channel's pre-fader signal. All channels additionally feature channel on switches that can be used to switch the channel signal into or out of the mix without changing any other setting.

Go to www.mackie.com and download one of their manuals. Most mixers have the same features and their manuals are easy to follow and have great hook up diagrams.
