Happy Halloween first!!

Then, the Turkey bash.

Mushrooms? Man, quit picking them from the golf course -- they'll do you in.

The point is, you should have long ago recognized that the longer and harder you demanded that Hornet play by your rules (admit you wer right, he was wrong, you were wonderful, he was an asshole, etc.) the more fun he was going to have torturing and frustrating you.

I'm neither in pain or frustrated. I just can't keep quiet if people are coming with false claims. In a way this does mean that coming with false claims is "tweaking my personality traits", yes.

I don't think this is the case wit GH, though.

If you keep running around in circles enough, you guys're gonna crash into your own taillights. It seems that you agree with each other about the substance of the post. The rest seems to be running after some prize not worth fighting over... Let it go! :D

I know, this is a redundant post, but perhaps it will help someone looking for more info regarding the AW16G:

"if you find yourself reading this particular post as someone who was sincerely looking for information relevant to the "Yamaha AW16G vs. AW2816" title, I've posted a couple of bits of info that might actually help shed some light on the subject. This info can be found in the "3 Des--your review of the Yama aw16g?" thread.

To quote [from the Oct. Sound On Sound article I reference], they start out by posing an interesting question that might sound familiar:

"...So just what compromises in terms of the balance of features have Yamaha struck in order to bring the AW16G in under the critical £1000 mark in the UK?"

;-)

Hey GH,

Howz it? It's been months and months since I've logged on.

Recently decided to look into buying the AW16G to replace my MD8. Logged onto this forum and did a search. Holy cow, you guys have been busy! Well, through all the bantor, I got a crash course, which was great. Thanks to you and others for getting the information out there in a very entertaining way.

I came close to buying the 2816 but I think its more than I need. By the way, MF has it for $1799 right now - only $700 more than the AW16G. Anyway, ended up buying the AW16G today. Can't wait to dig in and start using it. It may be a while before I can contribute to the threads that say, "What's better? AW16 or..."

Hope all is well and glad to see you're still at it.

DHN
