I think the guitar is pushing everything over cause the snare is panned like 64 or 65 of a possible 128. The vocals have to be retracked I think to move anywhere, there's so much bass on them and so many artifacts from cuttin ghte bass and compression. Thanks for checking it out. It's a work in progress, I've got some serious vocal retracking to do on my site overall, the cover of your tune has a few sour notes that make me wince when I review it.

Followed some of thos links and listened to Nepotism
This is pretty cool. Nice build up at the start, I really like the guitar tones but there may be too much verb overall. Rythm section sounds good, vocals are good too. The melodic guitar kind of fights with them a bit, but the two parts do sound cool together.
Love the clean guitar thing going on. Not sure the grindy one is needed.
There's something a little hazy about the recording, I'd like to hear a cleaner production of this. Cool song.

Yeah i really wasn't looking for feedback on any particular song (but i appreciate it) i was just trying to see if anyone felt like bullshitting and i thought it was funny how cocky i was asking for praise for an entire album posted on my now nemesis site mp3.com. I was also surprised to find that after a 1 1/2 year absence the same people who reviewed my songs then were still around today. Gave me a good sense of continuity.
btw, some of that stuff was expensive $ studio done work and even got commercial radio play and look how crappy it sounds compared to the homerec stuff of today. It gives me a lot of confidence in the methods we use here.

You're welcome. I use a MIDI Timepiece Av (Motu) but unless you have a bunch of synths and the need to sync video, audio and MIDI, its probably overkill. MIDI + video locks up easily. When you have to keep audio in sync to timecode, you need a word clock or it gets really off sometimes.
In my rig, I have three to four synths, a drum module, a MIDI mixer, a video deck and a soundcard all sunk up and connected to the computer. You might want to get something simpler, like a MIDI Express or something. I'm not all that up on whats out there these days. Used to use an Opcode, but they went out of biz. I've just had good luck with the MOTU stuff so I have stuck with it.

...mmmm, I think im either going w/ the motu 828, or the aardvark q10...... The bummer about the motu is that i dont think it has midi ins and outs... the aardvark does. I dont have a sophisticated midi layout like you do. I just wanna sync up one keyboard to the computer. hmmmmmm...... decisions....
