Hi_D_Ho_Man

Tha' So & So ,So & So
wazzup all. Ive had the Roland XV5050 since like October and have been very pleased with it. Just this week(Dec 20) I got a triton studio an the volume is considerably higher. I read through the roland manual and didn't see anything about a master volume control. does any one else use these two modules and have the same level differences. BTW im using a delta66/w omniI/O and have all the input levels to the max.

Thanks in advance for any replies

Hi!

I have same combination. Triton classic, XV-5050 and Delta 66.

I´ve noticed the same thing. Triton is much louder. In triton I use analog outputs to connect it to Delta (because it doesn´t have digital out) and in XV-5050 I use digital out to connect to Delta.

Mine is set up the same. That kinda makes me feel a lil better. I thought something was wrong with the XV. You'd think Roland would make sure its product was at level with the competition.

I believe the converters on the 5050 are inferior to those of the Triton. Roland has done this before with the jv1010. Those converters suck as well. You would have to have the 5080 or the 3080 in order to get the same level as your Triton.

Sad, but true.
