Just a little FYI. If you are thinking of getting one of these for the studio you might want to look around unless you can keep it outside of the room. I picked one up on special for a grab and go setup and boy is the fan on this thing loud!

Since they have got some pretty good prices on them I just thought I'd throw it out there so know one finds out the hard way:D

Hmm.. now I'm glad I got the CE-1000 instead of the xls402.

By the way, why is that power amp in your studio anyway? Isn't it a bit high powered for studio monitors?

Oh I'm not using it for my monitors (thank god), I bought it for small live applications. I also have a deca 424 (I use for my studio monitors) and a cs800X for live. It will all see live use at some time or another but I picked up the xls202 and a mackie dfx12 so that I did'nt have to unwire the studio just to go jam in some guys garage or something.

I did think about swapping my deca out and putting the crown in for the studio until I turned on the crown... The deca is pretty much silent.

I could have bought a powered mixer and got buy, but this way I have another amp:D:D:D

I think this gets me to about 1250 watts at 8ohm over all:eek: :D

Why do you need 1250 watts in the studio?

My 75 watt amp blows me out of my chair with the input attenuation pots turned almost all the way off.

No fan on the TA 1600 at all. And it barely gets warm after hours of use. :)

Come on your telling me you can monitor a mix with less than 1000 watts?????????? You must be kidding:eek:

No.... I use 1250 live including monitors, about 150W at most in the studio.
