hI Everybody... I'm starting at recording and performing live with the equipment mentioned above but cannot get it right with the speakers. I use the UCA 200 and my VAIO (WINDOWS 7) very easily with my LOGITECH speakers via RCA, and I can hear all my music (past recordings and tracks) thru them.

But the problem, i guess, is with the XENYX 1204FX:

* First, because the only way i can hear the different instruments plug into the XENYX is when i use the "headphones" output jack to get the signal to my speakers, but i get it somehow dirty - (i mean, comparing with music coming from the LAPTOP, the sound i get coming form the XENYX is dirty).
* AND when i try to change the output - for instance, one of OUTPUT jacks at the back of the XENYX ("CONTROL OUT ROOM" or "ALT 3-4 OUT PUTS") - I can hear only those channels that have the SOLO BUTTON PRESSED and with no possibility of changing level or effects. I don't know why this is happening because if i don't pressed any SOLO button i won't get any signal...
¿IS THERE A BETTER-RIGHT WAY TO PLUG THE XENYX TO MY SPEAKERS VIA JACK OR VIA RCA? AM I PLUGGING INCORRECTLY OR IS IT IMPOSSIBLE TO WORK WITH THE XENYX WITH OUT THE AMPLIFIED SPEAKERS?

Any suggestion or comment will be appreciated!!

Thank you all in advance!!

Manu

You need to get yourself some decent speakers. Computer speakers are not suited to recording. Google says it comes with an interface, so make use of this.

In short

Hello

+ So you're saying I need some good speakers and a amplifier???? Can't I use my Xenyx with some computer speakers (well some not-so-cheap computer LOGITECH speakers)
+ Is there a way to use the xenyx with, maybe, a special device or connection in order to avoid connecting my speakers to the "headphones" jack and get a better sound????

Thank you ALL

Manu

Connect the RCA plugs to the TAPE OUTs on the mixer. They are at the top on the front! Oh and then read the manual!!

Are you trying to set up like instruments>mixer>pc>mixer>speakers?
or
Instruments>mixer>speakers??
