There is no disagreeing about the term that is exactly what distressing is. It is the same thing. The techniques are the same, the end result is the same whether you are working on a new piece or an old piece that has been repaired. Distressing is the correct term. Relicing is a recent term invented by a few big brand names. Distressing as a term has been used for hundreds of years. Maybe if GW was to adapt the term, something like "relicarization" that would give it a little more credence.;)
Good enough.

Relicarization...........:D

LoL relicarizaton would work too:cool:... alright well from now on i'll just say "I want to make my new guitar look old and worn out" and we'll all be happy.

But on another note, Jay over at guitarfetish emailed me back and said that they are completely sold out of xv820s, and that they expect the 2009 models (not sure if they're going to be any different) to be back in stock in early December. I'm definitely marking my calender. If I can get rid of some of my old bass gear (a hartke 3500 head with broken knobs and this one old Sunn 2X15 bass cab) maybe I'll use that moulah to mod the thing. I have heard great things about the stock sound though...we'll see.

And no, the old sunn cab isn't a legit sunn cab, it was made by fender. If it were real I would keep it.
