Now you're a song writer.
Carry on.

I suffer commonly from writers block. Most of the time when i cant write its due to a lack of inspiration that often comes during going through a difficulty or something great outside of the "norm". I guess i would say find what inspires you and surround yourself with it and see what happens. ik its not that easy, but its at the very least worth a try.
So how many of you find that you have more writing "juice" following a bad/negative period VS. when you are in the midst of a steady & level "happy" period?
i am NEVER inspired to write regardless of my mental condition. Every song is like pulling teeth.
I'm that way with lyrics. .
that's what i meant. i can write an awesome song while watching television with a guitar in my hand.
Right. I can come up with good themes for lyrics. Like, I want this lyrical idea to go with this riff in this song using this melody....and then I can't write any actual words.
yep. i prefer lyrics to imply a specific sentiment, not spell it out literally. my vocabulary is far too limited to actually be able to pull that off. The BG song went really quick because i didn't care what i wrote. i need to go at it like that in the future.
Yeah see I liked the vocals on that song, and I have no idea what you were even saying. Lyrics mean nothing! Even after mixing it, I have no idea. I don't focus on what's being said as much as how it's being said. You delivered it perfectly, so you coulda been singing in chinese and it wouldn't matter. I think of vocal delivery as just another instrument in the mix. Words don't matter, but the delivery has to be right.
i'm that way with lyrics. I hate lyrics. Thankfully, i don't care and just write whatever and call it good.
