I have a 488mkII. My future consideration is a multi-input soundcard, like a Delta1010 or something similar.
If I take track 1, pan hard left and track 2, and pan hard right, that's 2 tracks on the line-out to the PC. If I take track 3 send into effects send 1, and track 4 sent to effects send 2, can I use cables going from the effects sends to other inputs on the soundcard to create tracks 3 & 4. I understand I'm not sending it back into the 488 so it won't be going to the main outs. Before I attempt this, would this idea work, and is there any potential to damage any equipment?
