Man it sounds great, Id be happy if I could get my shit to sound half that good.

But holy disturbed rip-off. Guitars, vocals, groove everything. Its like these guys learned to play from a disturbed notation book and never took it any further.

You did a good job though, I wouldn't have been able to keep a straight face recording that.

not my genre.
so:
this is fine, stick a fork in it.
I'm not a fan of cookie monster, but about half of this is legible to me, I like the guys voice.
guitar tone is wonderful.
beyond my level of critiquing

cheers
C.

overall it sounds good
drums are nice and tight i think.
but
+1 on raising the vocals just a tad.

i am listening in tiny computer speakers though

I not sure if bring the vocal up or tweak the eq, but the rest of the song sounds good.

Honestly, if i heard this on the radio, the first 15 seconds when the vocals come in i would have just assumed it was disturbed haha. Everything sounds great.

This sounds excellent.

I disagree that the guitars are fighting the vocals. The vocals are dead center, and the guitars are right and left. They don't interfere.

Why did the band fight you on vocals?

Vocals should always be front and center. Nobody should have to say, "What did that guy say?"

Songs on the radio have crystal clear vocals.

I think you've arrived. Nothing needed (except a better song, I guess). But that's just my opinion.

The guitars sound incredible.

Thanks!

I think you guys are a bit harsh with the Disturbed comments, but they do have a Disturbed influence......

How did you get to record Disturbed? I'm jealous. :D

Ha Ha Ha.... :)

It's funny though, I know there is a Disturbed influence, but they almost directly ripped off part of the song from another band, and NOBODY has mentioned it. Besides, everything is recycled. Stevie sounded like Jimi, Jimi sounded Albert, Albert sounded like......... you get the idea.

Anyway, we have fixed up a few things, and got rid of the "F" word, so I'll post a new version in a few days. Albums almost done! :D

This is a song I am kinda getting ear-burnt on. Anybody want to throw some critiques out?

Thanks. :D

edit - it's somewhat heavy music.........

Totally not my genre, but damn, man, you're good at it...

Lead vox could be more upfront, there's a woofy thing at about 60Hz that's burying them a lot of the time. Maybe just pull back the subsonics a teeny bit and you're home.

How the hell can you preserve your voice after singing like that? Sounds like it's brutal on the vocal cords...

Yeah I think the Disturbed comparison is down to the vocalist's phrasing and similar tonal characteristics. Mix sounds great to me on headphones. The only nit I've got is the guitar stabs in the intro seem to get out of whack with the drums on the last 3 of the 4 repetitions

Great Job!

Ok, so im new to recording yes but not to music itself.
At the beginning it seems like the guitar on the left is slightly louder than the right or maybe its the distortion... and when you hear the left guitar hold out at the beginning after he says "these thoughts we destroy" I would want it to ring on both sides. " I think it would sound a bit fuller since its just his vocals and that guitar. But Im new so dont be harsh on me! I enjoyed it.
