Don't stare at the eye.
I've got a new interface that's 32 in and 32 out--4 banks of 8 in and 4 banks of 8 out--all via ADAT.

I'll be running it as a 32 in, 8 out setup. I've got a total of 32 pres all coming in through ADAT converters, and I'll have a single 8 channel out box connected via 1 of the out banks.

I've never dealt with word clock syncing on so many items, so my question is this: Assuming my interface is the master, are all 5 slaves daisy chained together in the same BNC series, even though 4 are out and 1 is in?

Thanks!

You should be able to use ADAT sync with your master interface... no need for seperate BNC word clock... though it's an option... and we could debate the merits of ADAT over Word clock for days... but it really depends entirely on the devices, which plays and sounds better... I've had units that would not accept word clock while it's receiving a sync signal from ADAT...

I try that first...

Thanks for the heads up. I'll give that a try.
