wind protection for cheap ms setup

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to go pretty cheap on a MS setup and all that (I think) is left is I need some kind of wind protection. I'm using an audix d4 zip-tied  to an AT2050 and so far it has worked really well for me. I know there are much better options out there for MS recording but the AT2050 is so cheap for a good multi pattern.

Given how I've mounted the mics--I know it's cheap/crappy and I'm open to suggestions--what's the best way to cut down wind noise?

Thanks a lot for the help guys. A picture of the setup is attached.

If you mean breath protection, get a wire clothes hanger, deform it into a ring, stretch one of you wife/girlfriends over the hanger, and attach it to your stand between the mics and the singer.

If you mean wind, as in you are recording outside, then I don't know. Maybe customize some foam using a knife?

Whoa, major mistake. But hey, stretching your wife or girlfriend over the hanger might work too. Who knows? It's worth a shot. :)

Tried it, turns out her jabbering still made more noise than any of my plosives did...
