LMAO Todzilla !

I could never do anything that expensive even if I had alot of money.

Well, I just deposited the settlement check in the bank tonight.

This should be fun.

Todzilla I think you are about spot on with US prices (not that I really know) and I think UK around the same. Aus might be a bit cheaper, but here in Hong Kong you could double that and Japan easy triple price. Given that music equipment tends to be cheaper here it is even more reason to push the ‘Well if you do not like it I could always play golf’ line.

Perhaps we should thank those plaid wearing freaks after all?

Hey, 'hear about the new non-dairy topping for cats? :D

I just too delivery on a Tascam DM-4800,
buying the Argosy desk today

How long have you been married?
You have to wait for windows of opportunity.

She wants new carpet...?
You want a new synth.
New fridge?
You get the idea.

Repeat as necessary.

If you haven't spent the money just yet, I just listed a few synths on craigslist the other day. I'm in ft worth, and I obviously share your addiction. I just bought a kurweil k2600xs and an evolver and I want to get a hohner d6. My house just got major water damage, and I'm considering doing all the repairs myself just so I can have more gear money. Maybe our wives should start some kind of support group for wives of gear addicts. They could all share one car, wardrobe, head of lettuce, toothpaste, etc, in order for us to afford more gear.

Alright, you need a Moog and a Roland Juno. You can use the excuse that you're now trying to get the original sounds instead of the modeled sound. You can also say you're going to sell one your current synths. Word of caution: Do not actually sell one of them. Explain that it's difficult to get a decent selling price on it. Using the words 'probably', 'maybe', etc. will relieve liability issues.

What a great combination! I've got a K2600XS as well, and have been thinking of getting either the evolver or polyevolver... they so compliment each other. Yum!

They really do. I just got the kurzweil at GC for like 1200 bucks! It's got a few battle scars, but works perfectly.

LMAO Mikey, we need to get together sometime.

And yes, I went through the money and OOhhhhhhhh it was sweet.

PS, I'll post a cpl of pics of my humble studio soon.

Mind you, I dont have a vocal booth designed yet. Still thinking this one out since I have a sliding door closet that will most likely turn out to be the booth. Been there, done it before.

Maybe just Aurex a portion of the closet for descent vocals.

I don't have a vocal booth either, but I get great results just tracking everything in my room. If your recording space is treated nicely you shouldn't NEED a booth(although it would be nice to have, since it kind of sucks to have to cut the ac and fan off to track vox in the summertime) You might be better off using that closet as a machine room, unless it's a really big closet.
