I said MOST people, not ALL people!

I own an Mackie 1202vlz, and Alesis 24 & 32 and a Topaz 24/8. My 1st board was the Beh MX2624 and the worst of the lot, the A-24 was helluva lot more cleaner & efficient than the Behringer.

i owned an alesis 32 a few years back. i wish i would have never gotten rid of that guy. excellent mixer... !

..........the only probs i have with the Alesis's is that the buttons are so small
that one cannot tell if they're depressed or not especially during track bouncing.

I have the HA4700 Headphone amp and the 2030A Truth monitor and have used them for over 5 years now and have not had any trouble out of either... I plan on trying the ADA8000 soon...

I never said nothing about your experience not being accurate, but it seems to me that your still saying I know nothing because I am younger thats the point I am trying to get to you. I respect you opinion on gear, but it was not nessacary to make a comment about my age when I gave my opinion. So maybe you should get your head out of your a** and start respecting younger musicians as well.
Cummon now man ... I mean, you can't be right, you're barely even literate!

This isn't an age thing or any of that crap ... I was a prickly little fucker when I was your age too (only 21 now!) but you will soon get over yourself and by the time you get to even 18 you'll realise you hardly knew ANYTHING at 16. ;)

Peace,

Nik

This whole arguement is getting kind of stupid. Let's argue about something meaningful like penis size.

Do they make them?

I agree. I have a Behringer penis and it's done me proud. A little noisy at times but then that's not always a bad thing. You get what you pay for but when it breaks down I can afford to buy another one :p

If penises were made by Behringer there would be a lot of unhappy women out there. Infact, I'd predict a LARGE RISE in the lesbian population :D

I coverted a unit of Behringer gear into a toilet with a bidet`!

It used to be a preamp now it's full of shit!

Soooooooooooo....

I am STILL waiting for the links to all the wonderful gear out there that is so much better than Behringer that costs the same.

Should I hold my breath? ;)

Peavey makes cheap mixers that sound bad but don't break

...Yamaha AND Samson also makes dependable mixers that don't introduce a lot of noise into the path of an in/out signal!

Nady are the cheapest bastards on the planet

Personally, I just score the used Rane and (cheaper) dbx boxes. If that stuff breaks (which hasn't happened to me yet), I can fix it easily. I hate the weensy surface mount stuff

Mr.NoIQ, I am asking a very legit question here! You rediculed me, and called me a "fool" and a "newjack(@ss)" and what not. Said I don't know what the hell I am talking about.

I could go on about the insults, but the biggest one is that you haven't either:

1 - Provided links to comparable gear at comparable price to Behringer.
2 - Retracted your statements.
3 - Apologized!!!

Oh well.

I don't expect much from this place. The banter is fun. But, I have to endure the opinions of inexperienced gear snobs who can't back up their statements and fall back on petty insults and abuse of the "reputation" system in place here when the obvious is pointed out to them.

I like how I could post most of my stuff, in a "friendly type" of thread and ask for comments, and it would mostly be "WOW! That sounds great", but when I offer it in threads like these, where I use it to show that cheap ass gear CAN produce excellent results that often FAR exceed what many here are hoping to achieve, that same audio get's insulted.

Blah! You all have BruceBear syndrome. Too much mocking bird comments, and too little experience to back much of what you say up!

Then you got guys like LemonTree, who have a bit of talent, but have their heads so firmly embedded up their a@@hole that they will most likely never make that next step.

Most of you don't wear "internet asshole" very well. Usually, it comes across fairly pathetic. ;)

FordVan gets my vote for "Best New Internet Asshole". Seriously, I'm loving this stuff. He's like the Fletcher of cheap-ass gear. It's wonderful.

Such a happy place!
:)

I have a V-Amp2 and a T1951 parametric EQ and they both work just fine.
The V-Amp is built very lightweight so I'm careful not to bang it around. But it sounds just as good if not better than my POD or my J-Station or my Digitech whatever the hell it is.
And the T1951 works nicely also ...... fairly transparent and useful for those times when you need to tweak a specific part of the spectrum. It has a tube so I'm gonna open it up to see if they did that LED thing but I don't really care ...... I hardly want a hotly driven tube in my signal chain anyway. It's just cosmetics and we all like our gear to look cool.
Personally, I would have no hesitation in buying another piece of B-gear if that's waht my budget allowed.
Certainly if I have more money available then almost everything that costs more is better.
But for live work and a non-commercial project studio, it'll get the job done if you know what you're doing.

Dood, Fordvan is a very good '"web" friend of mine!! He is a well-versed in audio and a true engineer to nth degree! I've learned more from him (as well as H Gerst and Bruce Blue-Bear) than anyone else on the 'Net!

Everynow & then "FordVan" takes to smoking some meth-amphetamine & starts bugging out etolling the virtues of any and ALL pieces of cheap gear
out there! :D

Pay him no mind & believe me, he's NO @sshole!

Matter o' fact, he's 1 of the few founding fathers of HR.COM! ;)
