Hi

I bought a yamaha mg12/4
It's great but...i can't hear my stuff only in mono. (a mean the same thing in left and right)

I've tried to plug my v drum and my pod xt (both with have l/r out) I hooked the drum with 2 mono cable and same thing for the pod.

If i put only the left out in the left in of the mixer i can heard soud (in mono) but as soon as i plug something into the right in of my mixer the sound stop. (even the hissing stops

I don't have experience of any kind with mixer...this is my first one. I've tried every switch...and played with every knob and i did't find the problem.

Any idea...ruggestion?

Can I suggest you start with reading the manual? You don't provide enough info to diagnose your situation, but you do provide enough info that makes it clear you don't understand how everything hooks together.

Start with the manual to understand the signal flow, and we can take it from there....!

First thing to try would be to plug a output from one of your boxes into chanel 1 and a right output into chanel 2 and pan them accordingly. If you still get mono, then read the manual to find out why your board is locked into mono. If you don't, then read the manual to find out why you are in mono on your stereo ins. You may want to look around good. I know some Allen & Heath mixers have a button that will lock the output of the board to mono. Just some thoughts.

Knowing the layout of these mixers, (I've got one) I suspect you may be plugging one channel into an insert socket. Again, just a thought and apologies if I'm making unwarranted assumptions about your competence. But the insert sockets do look like inputs if you don't read the manual.
