why does my mixdown sound like crap??

im using n-track and recorded a 5 track song. when i play it back in n-track, it sounds great! but once i mix it down to .wav, it sounds pretty bad, not as clear, and the guitar solo intro sounds really weird. (kinda bubbly, i dont know how to describe it) if anyone has any ideas what could be going on..please post.

close all other programs (espectially any anti-virus programs) and turn off your video acceleration when you mix it down. You should also do this when you record.

thanks, i just tried that. still...im getting some crappy sound from that guitar intro. i dont get it! i sounds fine during playback in n-track, then its a little messed up once mixed to a wav.

Hmm, thats about all I can offer. Did it fix any of the other problems besides the guitar intro part????

What mixdown settings are you using

Offline or while playing?
File format?
Sampling Frequency?
Dither?
Mono or stereo?
