Why are you all using n-track - seriously - I'm looking to switch my recording software becasue I can't get cool - edit pro to stop popping and clicking and pissin me off - I have dual proccessor PII 233 with SCSI hard drives and 256meg ram - That should work but I can't get Cool-edit to even run 5 tracks -

SO - the guy from N-track tells me his program will work great with my system - but am I going to lose audio quality? Have you found the audio to be as good / better than say Pro-tools or Cubase - or Cool edit pro - ????

Any help would be appreciated

I use N-Track because it has probably at least 90% of the features of the "big boys" at 1/10 of the price.....

it does everything i need......

i dont think your popping and clicking is a Cool Edit issue.....you should be able to run more tracks with Cool Edit because it does some sort of premixing thing on playback......you may have some sort of driver issue or irq issue....there may be an issue with the dual processors but im totally unfamiliar with that area.....

as far as sound quality, i dont think youll notice any...

what soundcard are you using?
