Why am I hearing sound with volume off?

Tsacam US1800- KRK Rokit 6's.

Mix is set to computer monitor is all the way down. But I was listening to some stuff on youtube and could very vaguely hear it.

...looks like there's more to my monitors having this "hum" that I attributed to "that's probably just how it is"
 
Not sure what you mean by "Mix is set to computer monitor is all the way down". You need to select the US1800 as your primary audio device in your OS (Windows, whatever).
 
There's a knob on the us1800 thag lets you choose between hardware or computer monitoring. That's what I havr set to comp.
By "down" I meant off :o

Its already set as my default
 
Got any headphones plugged in somewhere in the chain? Overlooked but still quietly mumbling away to themselves. That can happen...
