Those rhythm/tempo changes were mind-blowing
! Well played sir. Did you track this without a click?

Okay thanks for listening.Sounds absolutely fantastic, But I can hardly hear the vox at some parts, I'd maybe give them a tiny nudge up. I don't know if I'm the only one hearing this, but other than that it sounds great.
Although I never listen to that genre either, I'm used to quite upfront vocals etc.
But yeah, sounds great!

Freakishly tight playing. Here's the thing . . . I listen to tracks, and usually by about a minute or so, the musical story has been told and so there's no need to listen to any more. With this one, I kept listening, because there is something new to suck you in just about every bar. It's a skillful and clever arrangement. It compels you to keep listening to the end.
these lyrics remind me of yesterdays diary submission. you speak to my soul
I can't say anything that has not been said before, your skills as a songwriter, arranger, and mixer have come a really long way. I remember a time when you said that you could not write your own tunes and all you were doing were really creative cover tunes.
You've come a long way in a very short time......love the song!!!![]()
Just listened to it again. The drums still seem to be a bit far back. It's hard to explain. It sounds like it has a desire to pop, but it's getting pushed back.
This very cool, kinda got a maiden feel there for a little while untill it went all bpm on steroids.
I have no nits, If there's any it might be the drums were a tad lower than what I usually expect from you, specially in the outro, the snare is kinda "burried" but being a non drummer I can dig that
Lyrics are hilarious.
Top stuff.
Hawwwwww........
Had a bit of time on my hands so I dropped in.
Glad I did, cool track Greg
Nothing to say except, just listened and enjoyed the listen ..........
See ya GL
Can't add anything new to what's already been said. The toms have a nice ring and I'm surprised to hear them stand out over everything else. It works nicely.
GZ mentioned the tight playing and one time a long time ago, you said something about quantizing... what are you doing there?? cutting up and aligning all the audio clips?? I know you don't use midi, so that's not the same kind of quantizing. Just curious. I know I never had great timing, but if I could find a trick to get my tracks tighter, that would be cool.
<sigh> I knew you were going to say that....![]()
But that's way cool and I'm glad to hear it's just honest straight forward playing.
I remembered your quantize comment from a month or two back (and I'm not going to go look for it) and meant to ask you what you meant by it then, but never had the chance. ( i think the conversation moved way beyond or something).
yeah, i play along with a click or midi drums, but it's never tight and you've noted that once or twice (or three times). Thanks for the reply.
Dude, I'm kinda late on this one, but I had to say that it is bad ass. I especially like the tempo change going into the pre-chorus. I guess that's what you call it. Other than that I really think you shredded the hell out of the guitar on the lead fill parts. All in all this is a great tune.
BTW. I really thought the marching sounded damned good at the end and the lyrics pretty much described most of the population in which I live. Hell some of it might describe me. haha. No surely not! dammit!
