Shut up ... lol ... i have a plan already for what ima do .. so .. yea
He doesn't need any help. He "has a plan for what hesa do...so.... yea" Really... sounds like he's got it handled. :D

Yeah, Iced, respect your elders!!! lol. RICK, you need to earn respect,
Hahahahahah, Son, I have TWO THOUSAND posts here helping people. I've posted over 200 drawings, some of full studios, so I think I've EARNED my respect.

please share you're knowledge and we will respect you for that. If not, DO NOT COME HERE DEMANDING RESPECT
I'd say you need to take a look around here and SEE who can demand respect. Not only that, but you have a lot of fucking gall to tell me that. Share my knowledge? All he has to do is get off his lazy punk ass and do a search and he might find the solutions he's looking for......but I think he's a little confused here. Why is he asking. He ALREADY HAS THE ANSWERS, remember!!! Or was he just being a punk.

a few of you guys help a bit but are give him options that he cannot afford so he reminds you that he is "POOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and only 14", because, it seems, some of you have forgotten this.
No one said studio building was cheap. No one said studio building was easy. Just because someone is 14 and has no money exempts him from the same requisites as anyone else. I'm sorry, but that is the reality. Try to start ANY business with no money and you will be SHIT OUT OF LUCK. Now, there are a THOUSAND posts here, showing how to do things inexpensively. Do a search on 703 and you will see. Thats about all anyone can do. Even then, it takes a small outlay of cash. I mean, where the hell did he get his recording gear, hmmmm?

BTW, the next time you go poking your head into a situation with people who DO KNOW WHAT THE FUCK THEIR TALKING ABOUT, and tell them what you told me, you might want to duck, before someone slaps your fucking face off.

He only said that, i think, because he felt like noone was helping and people were only making fun of him, so, because of his age, he said that he'd just do it himself and that he didn't need you're help, as you weren't giving much anyway. If you poke fun at someone, they aren't going to listen to what you say because they will feel you are making fun of them again, or giving them false info.

Iced, I'm going to give you the best advice I can. READ all you can here about rigid fiberglass(703) or rockwool. Then, start looking for a commercial building that is being demolished or remodled. Some of these have dropped ceiling T-grid tiles made of Owens Corning 703 YELLOW rigid fiberglass. Get as many as you can. Then, if you DID what I said, you would know WHAT to do with them. Other than that, there are virtually zero FREE materials that will improve the acoustics of your space. If you have other things you want to do in your studio that require building, such as a vocal booth, or how to improve the isolation of your space, then just ask. But I warn you, if you come off like a punk, then NO ONE is going to help you, I GUARANTEE it.

Look, I like to help people even though I am no expert. But what I DO know, is no one is going to hand you a bible on HomeStudio building. If you have project specific questions, then ask. If you don't understand some things, then FUCKING READ like everyone else!!!

START HERE. Scroll down to the Acoustics FAQ section and READ READ READ!!!
http://forum.studiotips.com/index.php

In the meantime, forget about blankets, cardboard, foam, sheets, and other amatuer solutions that do virtually NOTHING. Get a grip on the realitys, and you will be one step ahead in your quest for a home studio. Oh did I mention.........read? And btw, start READING. And heres a tip. READ.

Yes, you have earned respect, with the people you have helped, but you haven't helped iced yet, so you need to earn his respect. You have earned mine, you replied to one of my posts and it has helped, but you need to earn iced's, if you want him to respect you.

Noone has the right to DEMAND respect, whoever they are. Yes, "All he has to do is get off his lazy punk ass and do a search and he might find the solutions he's looking for", yes, the key word being "MIGHT", he might also find totally wrong info and spend the little money he has doing the totally wrong thing. So, he came here to ask for the right advice, but instead he got laughed at. If someone knocks you, don't you feel like "screw them, i'll do it myself?", i know i do.

Maybe a birthday present? i don't know. Thanks, you have given some good advice. We know it isn't gonna be cheap or easy, but there will be some cheap techniques to improve slightly and that's what he, and I, will be looking for.

I kno that you "DO KNOW WHAT THE FUCK THEIR TALKING ABOUT", but that does not give you the right to treat me, or iced, like shit. I was defending Iced because i felt he was being treated unfairly because he is not as experienced as you. Anyway, I'm meant no offence, and if you were offended I'm sorry.

Noone has the right to DEMAND respect, whoever they are
If they've earned it, the hell they don't. Try talking to an attorney, or a doctor, or a judge, or a professional in any field that way and see what you get. Talk to them like a jerk, and you'll get NOTHING....except a contempt of court charge in
court.

You cannot just accomplish a few things and then DEMAND respect. Someone whose been through years of studying and became a professional in whatever field, you think they have the right to demand respect? What if they are a paedophile? Should they be respected? Although someone has accomplished a great deal throughout their life, that does not give them the right to demand respect. They could have hurt lots of people in the process of becoming a professional. They could just be a horrible person. They could be a doctor, who pescribed someone the wrong medicine, because they could not be bothered one day, and that caused someone to die. Should they be respected, because they are a professional? See what I'm getting at? No matter how much you accomplish in your life, you cannot just demand respect. You need to earn it with each person. Ok you've helped lots of people in this forum, but I'm new to this forum so i do not know how many people you've helped. This post could have been your first post and you could an absolute prick, so why should i immediately respect you? You NEED to earn my respect.

i will not respect a jedge if he/she does not give me a fair trial(i hope to never be in that situation). I will be mannerly but i will not respect them. I do not respect the doctors i saw who told me i had a torn ligament in my leg, when, really, it was a cancerous tumour. I would not respect an attorney if they didn't do their job right/weren't a nice person, i wouldnt respect anyone "if they didn't do their job right/weren't a nice person".

Fuk all yall .. say what you want ..... but when my name is up in lights dont be crawling back to me B!tchez! .. and i built my fukin acoustic panels yesterday and bass traps so FUK YALL !!!!

And thanks for the help and support Pandamonk

But yet you're too poor and without resources to get your acoustic treatments on order.... (you're words, not mine)

Sounds like a hell of a deal you got there bucko!!!! I think you should work on renegotiating your contract!!!! HA !! :D :D :D :D :D

w/e and what am i doing here? thats a dumb question im here to ask about acoustic treatments for my ROOM! not for the studio i record at.. thats been built and done a long time ago.. i just needed help with small things for my room so when i feel like recording small shiz .. i can and it wont sound like crap.. and money aint an issue Bucko! i just dident want to be spending over 300 fricking dollers on padding.. just for my room which i dont record seriosly in.... and i made my stuff and it only costed me 30.00 and it works great, for my small fukin around recordings...

If you WANT anyone's respect, like iced which you seemed angry about not getting, then yes, you DO NEED to earn it.

Pandamonk, you clearly have your head up your ass. Why don't you pull it out and REREAD this thread. I don't NEED to earn a fucking thing from him or you.
On the contrary, I gave him the BEST advice he could get regarding his "panels". TWICE!! Frankly, I don't know where you are from, or who raised you, but in my part of the country, when somebody asks for advice, and then has the audacity to tell the advice "giver" to SHUT UP, chances are they'll get their ass kicked clear up to their ears. Maybe thats what he really needs, as its plain as day, no one has taught him shit at home.

BTW, heres one more bit of advice Mr. Brilliant.. The next time you NEED something from somebody, I suggest you don't bite the hand that feeds you. You may get your fucking head knocked off.

What Rick said...... exactly..... :D :D :D
The original poster (I forget his name, but he has that "big record deal...") proved himself an idiot, by asking a question that any 'search' would have answered, and then telling everyone to "Shut up... I know what to do..." when given good basic advice....
And my daughter is 14, but isn't anything like him, so you can't blame age... :p
