Which USB 2.0 Audio Interface would you recommend as having the best audio quality?

Hi guys. I would really value anyones experience / opinion on these. Thanks

I don't have much money at all so I can't comment on expensive solutions, but I have the EMU 0202 box here, and I'm really impressed with the quality of the preamps. I think it's the same circuitry as the 0404.

Thanks for the replies! I would definately have chosen firewire over USB 2.0 if I could but my laptop doesn't have firewire ports. It also doesn't have PCMCIA card slots to get one of these interfaces or add firewire ports. It does have an express card slot type 2 but I can only get hold of these from the USA and I live in the UK. I also don't know how reliable these will be?

Firewire vs USB

If you're just recording one or two tracks at a time, then USB will be OK.

However, if you are looking at 4 or more tracks at a time --- DEFINITELY Firewire

TI has a viable ExpressCard chipset. I seem to recall the SIIG chips using their chipset, but I could be wrong. You'd have to ask them.

Remember, though, that there are two sizes of ExpressCard slots. If you get such a card, make sure it fits. :)
