#1 sound more natural and warmer to me. #2 sounds a bit harsh in places. #2 is louder and at first sounded clearer with more definition, but when I brought the volume of #1 up, it think I prefered #1. There's a few bumps that are more noticable on #1, I think they're pops from the vocals, or maybe somrthing picked up through the mic stand?

I agree with toad, #1 sounds more natural to me as well. To me it sounds like #2 has all the sound in the front of my headphones and just silence in the back? I'm not really sure how to explain it, but even though #2 did sound cleaned up a bit I still preferred the warm sound of #1.

And like toad said, there were some audible pops possibly from the vocals or the mic stand. They didn't bother me, but they were noticeable.
