I have used Logic, but I like Reaper much better. I don't use those for recording however. I use Boom Recorder. Lightweight, time code aware, up to 128 channels and no frills. Run it on an old G4 to record 8 channels. After recording, theMac's built-in webserver makes the tracks available to other machines on the network, or even over the net.
How much is BOOM?
N-Track as multitracker...Goldwave for editing.....Fruity Loops for drums.....
Because they are cheap and the best bang for the buck software for their fucnctions....
And because I have so little bucks, I need more bangs for them.....
