Ok.. I'm working with a guy to get him setup into a new studio. The signal chain that we're working out is Neumann TLM103 to Avalon vt737sp to Rossetta 200 (w/ optional X-firewire card) to Spectral RM5100 rack mount PC runnning Adobe Audition v2.0. This is for voice over work so we don't need really more than two channels.

Main question though... How do I get a pair of headphones into this setup? The Rosetta will be acting as the interface, and it only has two channel output which will be going to a pair of Mackie HR824's. How do I get a headphone amp into this setup? suggestions? Thanks!

yeah, the only thing is though that the Rossetta only has two outputs on it so we'll be doing XLR out to the HR824's. So I would need a headphone amp that has the ability to route the signal through passively but also split the signal to the headphone outs. I'll have to check out the specs on that Samson unit to see if it does that or not. Thanks!

Yeah, you would just go from your Rosseatta to the samson, then speaker A outs to the 824s, and External Cue or speaker out B to your headphone amp......although it does have a headphone amp built in. Either way I am pretty sure that is the type of device you are looking for, Mackie also has something but its $300.

the hp4 will let you use 4 sets of phones and your monitors, with an independent volume control for your monitors.
