Ah well, since everyone else is doing it,

27°35'41.84" S 151°56'11.79" E

(Just to give equal time to some southern and eastern coordinates!)

Boring normal house in a boring normal suburb in a fairly nice city.

In the Pacific Ocean!

Maybe I typed it in wrong. I'll try a copy and paste.

Think you typed it wrong Henry...I'm 110km inland and up on an 800 metre plateau!

Looks like a cosy little bungalow there Bobbsy. The garage certainly looks to take up a large chunk of the space! All those American and Australian suburban areas always look so cosy. I technically live in a suburban area myself. England just looks the same everywhere until you get to the countryside. =P

Yeah...which makes the garage the perfect place for our pool table on one side and an informal woodworking shop on the other!

Compared to the UK, Aussie houses sprawl--despite appearances, this house is bigger than any of the places I owned in the UK. Trouble is, it just wastes the extra space rather than making it useful!

You need to take in a few roos as house mates then Bob. :p

You know, if I could persuade them to stand in the corners, I suspect 'roos might make good bass traps!

My house has a rather odd layout itself But definitely makes use of room. The hallways upstairs and down are both rather a tight squeeze, just to make the most of the rooms. The kitchen is especially quite large. One of my favourite rooms of the house. =P

The kitchen here is more than twice the size of the one I had in my last English house--but has LESS usable counter space, fewer cupboards (though a nice walk in pantry) and most of the extra square footage is just wasted space in the middle. It's not big enough for a table (which would be smack in the way anyhow) and just means 2 or 3 extra steps every time I go from hob to sink or whatever. It's a bonkers use of space but seems pretty typical of Aussie houses.

Anyhow, architectural whinge over...back to the "where are you" thread.
