What's the difference between ATM 25 and AT Pro 25?

I've looked at both these kick-drum mics from Audio Technica, and it seems people here use the name interchangably sometimes. But according to the Audio Technica website, these are two different mics:
ATM 25

AT PRO 25

Did anyone tried these two and came up with a difference?
Help me out here, please.

This was covered pretty extensively awhile back in this thread:

Here's what resident mic knowitall (and I say that only because he seems to actually know all of it) Harvey Gerst had to say on the subject:

"The Audio Technica AMT25 and the AT Pro 25 are NOT the same microphone. The Pro 25 is a cheaper version of the ATM25, with a little more top end and a little less bottom end. For 60 bucks, it's not a bad mic, but it's better for floor tom. I would use it on a kick before I would use a Beta 52."

and:

"The ATM25 is probably the most useful kick mic I have, followed closely by the AKG D112 and the AT Pro 25. The Sennheiser 421 is next, with the original AKG D12E in last place (unless I'm looking for a 60's rock sound)."

Hope that helps.

I have a ATM 25 and it rocks! I like it better than all the other mics I tried on the kick (D112, Beta 52 and RE 20), but I have never tried the AT 25 Pro.

i have AT pro 25 -

it rocks ass i'd say...esp. for somebody who doesn't have "studio" quality sound in the first place. No use spending more money then you need to - when you dont have the use/capability to make use of an expensive mic, right?

I have the ATM Pro 25 ( $69 from Mars after showing them the 8th street music internet price) and it rocks. Used it and 2 C1000 overheads on this track. The kick drum is a very small pearl rythm travler kick.

I have 3 Sennheiser 421's and prefer the Pro 25 for kick.

I looked at bothe the AMT 25 and Pro 25 at mars and the element looks the same, the pro has a touch more plastic in the body.
