What's going on with Nowhere Waldo?

I finally have a few hours to check out some of these tunes for the HRchallenge but I'm downloading at like 2-3 kb/s.

Everything is fine but nowhere...my server is wide open. Any ideas? Do I just need to be patient until everyone in the states goes to sleep? Are we killing Nowhere's bandwidth?
 
Nevermind...I saw that in Chrisharris' thread.

It appears that someone is trying to 'game' the charts, and play their songs every 15 seconds or so, thus eating up all the bandwidth on the old lines.

When I get shit onto the new lines this shouldn't happen, and there'll be better prevention mechanisms in place to prevent this from happening.

Unfortuneatly, at this moment, there isn't much I can do to stop the downpour, as obviously whoever is doing it has more bandwidth than I do at the moment!

Yeah,I went to the charts and saw that was #1 and thought what the #$@#$!Those songs SUCK and they do sound like the same person.Oh well,I guess Waldo will do whatever he can to boot the person responsible for slowing things down to a stand still.

I think everyone should find alternative sources of posting music other than nowhereradio.com . Its too frustrating. Its also counterproductive to the mixing clinic especially.

The last time I complained about streaming, people said to just download.

So now, I try to download, and it takes me 5:41 to download a song on a T1 connection that usually takes less than 20 seconds to download a 3 meg file.

I dont even listen to songs posted on nowhereradio anymore. Its too frustrating and time consuming.

Sorry guys, I (as well as MANY others I'm sure) really want to listen to your music, but its on a site that is just too slow.
 
Reports around the world of 70KB/s minimum downloads since I've banned a few of the abusers.

I'll start writing my own bible in case NWR ever gets floored again, just in case. I'll have to come up with some nice rituals and offerings too...
