C'mon guys I know we all have one.. What the most valuable possession that you own. Whether it be monetary value or sentimental.. I wanna hear it!!
I think computers and interfaces should be ruled out only because of necessity. Unless of course, a computer and interface is all one has.
So aside from the most used and needed equipment, the equipment that I've gotten the most use out of would be my DBX 160A.
You don't need either. and I don't see why having those and using them would make them less of your pride and joy either. If anything, it would make them more important.
I especially love my computer. My bass amp is probably my fav piece after it though. =P My computer can do everything I need and want it to. My bass amp really does only one thing, but it sounds gorgeous. XD
You certainly need them for that type of setup. I don't use a multi-track or tape, so that's why I didn't mention the two. The reason I thought the two should be ruled out was because my computer can most likely do the same thing yours can. Unless you have a Mac
And before someone says, well my compressor can do the same thing your compressor can, I'd just like to say that that is completely different. The compressors can have different tonal characteristics, different functions (slow attack vs. fast, etc.). With a computer, all you are doing is arming the tracks and recording in your DAW... The same thing my computer does. (Note I didn't say we should rule out DAW's.)
Ooo is Eclipse fun?

Definitely. Especially when you doubt yourself before starting, and you know that anyone that knows you would bet against you ever getting it done.Hey Rami, that's a nice feeling ain't it.
I can't decide. Everything I have is necessary and a valuable tool in my arsenal. I've paid careful attention to not buying stuff I don't want or need. I have several items that are less important than others, but not one that just stands out as my pride and joy.
Sorry for the long-ass non-answer...
