What to do with my Art MPA Gold

So, this is a pretty well-regarded pre around here, I take it...?

(I'm kind of in the market for another pre, my Presonus BlueTube DSP isn't bad, but, well, options are fun and it could probably be better).

Some people viciously bash it like it murdered their grandmother. They say that it's not a real tube...or the tubes are virtually bypassed or sometihng like that.

The bottom line is that some people hate its guts.

I own one...with stock tubes and I love it. But then again I'm just a home recorder not some big fancy expert.

I'll never understand how some people can get so emotional about hardware. They'd give you a dirty look for feeling up their wife at a bar... but kill you for insulting their preamp.
