You could not be more right. I traded my Ns10ms for my alesis monitor twos. The ns10ms, have no low end, the highs are harsh, and the mids are blown up,
BUT if it sounds good on the ns10s, it will translate anywhere. I think that the midrange on the ns10ms is outstanding. THey show every small detail, that as you said, other monitors usually hide. Also, listening to commercial mixes is nice on the nasties. The commercial mixes sound good in the ns10ms
Luckily for me, everybody is selling their ns10ms for like $140 for the pair, so I hope to get them back soon.
I really think that the best monitoring system is one that has a pair of ns10ms as well as a pair of bigger speakers.
